Work-Life Balance of Women Entrepreneurs

Abstract

Women’s play multiple role in different stages of their life. Many women’s opt to be entrepreneurs so that they can manage both household and business works. Work-life balance involves effectively managing personal and professional responsibilities. A healthy and well-structured work life is essential for maintaining work-life balance. The aim of the study was to explore the impact on work-life balance and to examine the work-life balance challenges faced by women entrepreneurs. For this study, 80 women entrepreneurs were selected from Kanniyakumari district using convenience sampling method. Primary and secondary data were collected for this study and SPSS tools were used to analyze the data. The research found that there is no significant difference between the age group of the respondents and the impact on work-life balance of women entrepreneurs. The study concludes that it is very important for women entrepreneurs to maintain work-life balance to achieve their goals and to reach higher success.

Impact of Cashless Economy on Consumer Transaction

Abstract

Digital payments witnessed a massive growth post demonetization, especially with the government and the banking Regulator’s attempt to make India a ‘less-cash economy’. The coming together of new-age technology and traditional banking methodology has become a win-win situation for the financial ecosystem, offering more options to customers in the payments system space. The objectives of this study are to examine the acceptance of cashless methods of payment among consumers and to identify the consumer perception towards cashless transaction. The study focuses on impact of cashless economy on consumer transaction in Kanyakumari District. Primary data collection involves convenience sampling with a sample size of 100. Secondary data were obtained from journals, books, websites and databases. This paper concludes that widespread use of digital payments will lead to the development of a cashless economy leading to transparency, curbing corruption and facilitating economic growth.

Consumer Perception towards Electric Vehicles

Abstract

The automobile industry has undertaken initiatives to safeguard the environment by introducing electric vehicles. The Electric Vehicles provide several benefits to the consumers, government, automobile industry and environment which have driven rapid increase in the adoption of e-vehicles among consumers. However, the consumers may face several challenges while using these vehicles. Consequently, this research aims to analyze the consumer perception towards the electric vehicles using a convenience sampling method with a sample size of 120 respondents. This research examines the significant difference between the area of residence and brand preference, inspects the significant difference between the age and factors influencing the purchase of e-vehicles and analyzes the challenges faced by e-vehicle users, with the focus of contributing to the advancement of market technology and understand consumer experience towards the electric vehicles.

Abstract

Rural entrepreneurship is now a days a major opportunity for the people who migrate from Rural areas or Semi - urban areas to Urban areas. On the contrary it is also a fact that the majority of rural entrepreneurs is facing many problems due to not availability of primary amenities in rural areas of developing country like India. This paper makes an attempt to find out the Problems and Challenges for the potentiality of Rural Entrepreneurship. The researcher has collected Primary data through Google form 120 respondents and convenience sampling method was applied. Rural entrepreneurs face many problems such as lack of skilled, Limited purchasing Power, and managerial workforces, lack of infrastructural facilities for agri-business, marketing problems, lack of transportation facilities. The research paper is revealing that problems and challenges of Rural Women Entrepreneur in Tirunelveli.

The Effectiveness of Digital Advertising towards Customer Satisfaction

In today's world, digital advertising plays an important role in selling products. Digital advertising is nothing but a strategy allows to leverage different digital media's such as social media, pay-per-click, search engine optimization, and email marketing to connect with existing customers and individuals interested in your products or services. The main aim of this study is to identify the level of customer satisfaction in digital advertising and to study the highly influencing media in digital advertising. In this study 90 respondents were selected using random sampling method. Primary data and secondary data were collected for this study and SPSS software were used to analyze the data.

General Problem Faced by Working Women in the Soceity

Abstract

In India working women faces many problems. Over the years, there have been significant challenges regarding to the working women. India’s economy is growing rapidly which has profound effects on working women’s lives in India. The objectives of the studies are i) to identified the challenges faced by the working women ii) find out the Satisfaction level of job of working women in kanniyakumari district. The data were collected from the working women in the field of nursing, post office workers and teachers in Kanniyakumari district using convenience sampling method. The size of the sample selected for the present study is 90. The findings reveals that there is no significant difference among the position of work with respect to challenges faced by the working women and 21 percentage of the working women are dis satisfied with their work. The study concluded that, the women employees must know their companies’ policies about sexual harassment, they must come forward to report about the incidents without any fear, then only sexual harassment can be prevented.

Issues Faced By Customers towards Cyber Shopping With Reference to Nagercoil Town

Abstract

Cyber shopping is growing rapidly among the various areas and there are new trends set everyday due to the technological advancements. There is an economic growth in the cyber shopping sector after the COVID-19. However, there are various problems or issues a customer faces when purchasing from cyber shopping. Even if the overall sale of cyber shopping has risen across the globe, there is a slight hindrance by customers due to safety concerns. The research aims to find out the issues which influences the customers most regarding cyber shopping purchases in Nagercoil Town. The collection of primary data is by using convenience sampling method and the number of respondents is 200. Journals, books, websites and databases are the sources for secondary data collection. The findings shows that cash on delivery is the most preferred payment method, while debit card payment method is the least preferred one.

Growth of Electric Vehicles in India

Abstract

The global electric vehicle (EV) market is developing at a rapid pace. According to JMK Research, a staggering 455,733 EV units were sold in FY2022. India's Ministry of Road Transport and Highways also claimed that 1,334,385 electric vehicles in India were on the road as of July 2022. These numbers are sure to increase, with central and state governments, as well as private sector players, actively pushing for greater electrification on Indian roads. EVs are gaining attention across the globe as they help reduce emissions and depletion of natural resources. The Indian EV market is also evolving fast as close to 0.32 million vehicles were sold in 2021, up 168% YoY. Ongoing electric vehicle adoption in India is based on the Paris agreement to reduce carbon emissions, to improve the air quality in urban areas and reduce oil imports. In India, Uttar Pradesh held the highest share in EV sales in 2021, with the number of units sold across all segments reaching 66,704, followed by Karnataka with 33,302 units and Tamil Nadu with 30,036 units. Uttar Pradesh dominated the three-wheeler segment, while Karnataka and Maharashtra led the two-wheeler segment and four-wheeler segment, respectively.This study aims to identify the growth of electric vehicles in India and to analyses the production as well as sales of electric vehicles. Secondary data facts have been collected.

An Analytical Study on Job Satisfaction of Cashew Workers in Kanyakumari District - An Unsolved Story

Abstract

 A study on problems and prospectus of cashew workers in kanyakumari district was undertaken to find out the cashew nut workers job satisfaction and present problems in Kanyakumari district. This study helps to improve the job satisfaction among the employees and to give suggestions to motivate the workers to achieve their goals and job satisfaction in better way. The present study with the following objectives to study about the cashew nut processing industries in kanyakumari district. To study the various problems of cashew workers in Kanyakumari district to identify the factors which influence job satisfaction and factors, this leads to job dissatisfaction to study the relationship between demographic factors and job satisfaction to study the various factors influencing the motivation of the workers towards the accomplishment of goals. This is an empirical study based on survey method.  The data were collected from both primary and secondary sources. The boundary of study is kanyakumari district.  The population of this study is cashew factory in kanyakumari district.  The district was divided into four Taluks namely, vilavancode, kalkulam,Thovalai and Agasteeswaram.  There are 840 factories in the district.  From the total population 50 units are taken as sample from each Taluks Convenient sampling method was used for the selection of sample units. According to the sampling plan total sample size in 200, all over kanyakumari district, based on the sampling design shown in sampling plan among which 60 were male and 140 female. The data collected were analyzed and interpreted with the help of tables and figures. Chi- square test and liker’s scaling techniques are used for this purpose. The study concludes that the individuals below the age of 35 years are working more in number in cashew processing industries; Most of them are women workers. Majority of the workers have completed their higher secondary this shows that they have dis- continued their studies after higher secondary and are working in cashew factory.  The income of the cashew workers is low when compared to other processing industries.

Motivational Factors towards the Agriculture of Natural Rubber with Special Reference to Kanyakumari District

Abstract

Agriculture in India, the prominent sector of the economy, is the source of livelihood of almost two thirds of the workforce in the country. The contribution of agriculture and allied activities to India's economic growth in recent years has been no less significant than that of industry and services. The importance of agriculture to the country is best summed up by this statement: "If agriculture survives, India survives". It is the most important sector in terms of providing employment and reducing poverty. This article examined the determinants of motivational factors towards the agriculture of rubber with special reference to Kanyakumari district, the southern district of Tamil Nadu. A focused Interview Schedule has been prepared and was administered among 250 sample respondents who directly involved in rubber cultivation.
