Dentistry involves the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders and conditions of the oral cavity, the maxillofacial area and the adjacent and associated structures, and their impact on the human body. Dental health is the science and art of preventing oral diseases, promoting oral health, and improving the quality of life. Oral diseases are major public health problems due to their high incidence and prevalence across the globe with the disadvantaged affected more than other socio-economic groups. JIDAT focuses on publishing new knowledge and information on dental, oral cavity and its associated structures in health and diseases. JIDAT will promote communication among global public health and dental professionals, clinicians, educators and researchers in all areas of dental research.
