Abstract

Drug abuse among youth in Uttarakhand has become a major concern due to its geographical location, socio- economic challenges, and increasing exposure to substance use. This paper reviews existing research and policies related to drug use in the state, focusing on awareness campaigns, wellness strategies, and legal frameworks. A systematic review of studies conducted in Uttarakhand highlights the prevalence, risk factors, and preventive measures being taken. The findings suggest that community engagement, school-based programs, mental health support, and stricter law enforcement are essential in addressing this issue effectively.
