A Study on Industrial Accidents due to Unplanned Lockdown

Industrial accident has raised during the pandemic lock-down to a very greater extent. During the lockdown industries do not devise to critical operation scenarios to handle and remove chemicals from storage, in-process production, till finished product due to the above said barriers the country has faced large numbers of industrial accidents and fatal injuries. After returning to production there has been an industrial accident killing 75 workers in 30 industrial accidents between May to July, the number of accidents and death must be higher than reported by Global Union Federation. Prevention and mitigation strategies are not sufficient to handle this situation. This study unfolds the operational, mechanical, and human factors behind the accidents.
