Deliberate self-harm(DSH) is interpreted as an action of self-injury without an aim to die. The worldwide statistics reveals that DSH is a prevalent issue however, the masses have not recognized it as an alarming sign yet. To be specific, Pakistan is one of those middle-income countries where DSH is common. The article aims to give deeper understanding about deliberate self-harm using ‘Experiential Avoidance Model’ by Chapman and co-mates. Also, it provides recommendations and management on government and individual level.
