Abstract

Innovations in technology have a prominent role in our day to day life. In recent era, the technological inventions have great influenced the educational sector. It makes the teaching, learning process easier and powerful. The influence of technology in higher education is more widespread. Research is an inevitable part of higher education. Technological advancement is also reflected in educational research. Innovations are necessary to ride the inevitable tide of change and Cloud Computing is the recent and hot area of innovative technological development in the field of educational research. Cloud Computing is becoming a popular technology in the field of educational research with its flexibility and versatility in the use of resources. The potential of Cloud Computing in educational research is immense. But compared to commercial and banking sectors, the use of the technology is lags behind in educational sector. Though, the significance of Cloud Computing in different areas has been emphasized in a lot of studies, not many studies could be found focusing on the use of Cloud Computing in educational research in India. This study is a humble initiative to make a small contribution to fill this gap. This paper makes an effort to analyze the scope, concerns and future implications of Cloud Computing in educational research in India. The method adopted is a grouping of library and internet research.
