Autonomous Firefighting Robot for Hazardous Fire Environment

Abstract

Firefighting has always been a risky profession, many lives are lost despite technological innovation. The existing firefighting tactics are prone to human mistakes. The life of firefighters has always been endangered during explosions or radioactive explosions, when even high-quality suits and equipment are useless. There is a growing trend to use robots instead of humans to put out fires. This paper proposes autonomous robots capable of detecting people caught in fire and extinguishing fires in conditions where humans cannot intervene. The robot moves around the affected area and avoids any obstacles encountered along the way. A robot with a built-in infrared camera will intelligently check the damaged area for human life, while other robots will help put out fires that are too far away from humans. As a result, it will be possible to save human lives inside the fire impacted region without jeopardizing the lives of human firefighters.
