Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) has a wide scope of study, which includes transport management and road management with the aid of technology. It is a unique business idea for potential capital investors. This paper proposes a new concept in road management through an advanced Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system that will eliminate a lot of infrastructural investment in constructing toll plazas. Road tolls are collected for the maintenance and operation of roads after construction. Currently, in India, road tolls are collected using prepaid FASTag, which uses RFID tags integrated with banking systems. In the proposed concept, tolls will be collected with a GPS system. The main concept is to eliminate the physical infrastructure and the toll plazas at irregular intervals. The FASTags will be replaced with GPS systems linked with bank account. With the implementation of this system, the road user will have to pay for the complete stretch of toll road used. The use of the vehicle on the toll road will be monitored in real-time. This technology will need uninterrupted internet connectivity and GPS systems.
Rainfall-Runoff (R-R) modelling is a challenging and operational task for hydrological scientists. For the past few years, the scientific community has been suggesting soft computing techniques to solve this problem. In this study, various types of soft computing such as Back Propagation Neural Network (BPN), Radial Basis Function (RBF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Fuzzy Logic (FL) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) were analyzed systematically. BPN and RBF were found to be more suitable to address R-R modeling, but BPN proved to be more appropriate than RBF. During the test performance, it was observed that the average deviation of R-R from the actual was 23 (% of LPA) while RBF produced 43.6 (% of LPA). All these facts have been described in this paper.
E-education is an important sector that facilitates online education and virtual education for the benefit of the end users. The advancements in the education sector are increasing day by day and similarly the requirements of the students and other stake holders in the education sector are increasing in accordance with current trends, which will be met by highend servers and applications, resulting in a large investment in establishing advanced infrastructure. Cloud computing provides high end services and servers to the user on the basis of demand request with minimal cost. Hosting the applications of the education sector over the cloud provides flexible services and improves the facilities. Despite the advantages, the main challenges associated with e-education are data storage and application security. In this paper, a trusted framework for e-education in the cloud environment is proposed which performs classification of trusted documents and stores them securely. The proposed method uses hybrid authentication methods for high security by implementing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for extracting the accurate bio-metric features for authentication. The evaluated results show that the proposed framework is suitable for E- education in the cloud.
The current era is characterised by a worldwide continuous enhancement in the average of males and females, which has led to the rapidly increasing demand for biomedical implants. As per the current analysis in India, approximately seven crore people are suffering from joint related issues, and this incidence rate is expected to rise. In addition, the global sale of medical devices (orthopedic implants) in 2003 alone was USD 8.7 billion and is projected to develop at a yearly growth rate of 12.5 percent. The distinct implant materials such as 316L stainless steel (ISO 5832-1), titanium and its alloys (ISO 5832-3), Co-Cr alloy and instrument materials (ISO 403, ISO 420, etc.) generally require improvement in surface characteristics in terms of biological and mechanical properties. So, the knowledge of distinct implant material properties, composition and biological responses such as corrosion and its testing procedure using distinct electrolytes is highly essential for upcoming researchers. In this study, the author mainly focused on distinct implant materials, characteristics, and chemical composition, as well as distinct types of implant corrosion and surface modification method. As future scope, challenges and distinct corrosion testing procedures are discussed. This article could become the torch bearer for the future researchers and engineers working in the biomedical sector.
The Indian energy market is dominated by fossil fuels, with sixty percent of India's energy reliant on coal. Due to the declining cost of renewable energy technology, solar energy production has rapidly increased in India in recent years. The development of the country is directly dependent on energy production, and there is an urgent need to create reliable alternative energy sources as the natural coal reserve continues to deplete. India has become the third largest electricity producing nation in the world. Due to solar power generation, India has been able to eliminate its energy shortage with comparison to other countries. This paper focuses on the present scenario of solar power in India with comparison to other countries. This paper will discuss about the solar energy production, potential, future, hindrances, achievements, availability, research and development of solar power in India.
