Rural entrepreneurship has emerged as a significant opportunity for individuals migrating from rural or semi-urban areas to urban areas. However, many rural entrepreneurs face challenges due to the unavailability of essential amenities in rural areas of developing countries like India. This paper explores the problems and challenges affecting the potential of rural entrepreneurship. Primary data were collected from 120 respondents using a structured Google Form questionnaire, and the convenience sampling method was employed. Rural entrepreneurs encounter various issues, including a lack of skilled labor, limited purchasing power, inadequate managerial workforces, poor infrastructural facilities for agri-business, marketing difficulties, and insufficient transportation facilities. The study specifically highlights the problems and challenges faced by rural women entrepreneurs in Tirunelveli.
