Our country has been putting a lot of efforts to improve the quality and relevance of our higher education system. The quality of higher education definitely depends a lot on the quality of its teachers. Teacher is still a major source of knowledge and development for the students. Thus there is a greater emphasis on teachers at current times for the improvement of the quality of teaching learning a Faculty development programs (FDPs) for teachers are introduced which is seen as a method of “train the trainer” holds utmost importance in the system of higher education as well as for the prosperity of the individual institutes today. Faculty development programs (FDPs) are integral to enhancing the teaching effectiveness and professional growth of collegelevel educators. This study employs a survey-based approach to evaluate the influence of FDPs on teachers within higher education institutions. A structured questionnaire was administered to a diverse sample of college teachers who have participated in various FDPs. The survey gathered data on perceived changes in teaching practices, pedagogical skills, attitudes towards teaching, and professional networking as a result of FDP participation. Analysis of survey responses highlights significant positive impacts of FDPs, including improved instructional strategies, heightened motivation, and expanded professional networks. However, challenges such as time constraints and institutional support were also identified. These findings underscore the importance of tailored FDPs that address the specific needs of college educators, ensuring continuous professional development and advancing educational quality in higher education settings.
