Abstract

This research work provides an energy meter prepayment to enable estimation of energy use and to recognize the maximum market demand. The Proteus 8 device application illustrates the prepaid energy meter principle. The key elements are AVR, Voltage and Current, LCD and Relay and Power. The key sections are AVR. Electricity has been one of the most essential human needs, and is widely used for domestic, manufacturing, and agricultural. Today's carbon payment program requires effort and money. This research work explains how the energy meter device is included in the prepaid. Having this device would help the user in terms of power consumption. It is easy to run and economical. The prepayment method often profits from substantially reducing human mistakes when calculating readings and recording information. This will make available a fully designed and constructed Energy Meter based on Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) technology to the Electricity Companies in Nigeria. The functionalities provided by the GSMBased Prepaid energy meter, will provide accurate consumption of power calculation of electricity by the consumers, automation of the billing system in Nigeria. This will enhance efficient use of electricity by customers and easy recharge of such meters.
