Rai Journal On Wireless Communication Networks 2320 - 2351 4 1 31 35 Monopole Antenna, Microstrip Line-Fed Antenna, Ultra Wideband Microstrip Antenna A microstrip line-fed compact Ultra Wideband (UWB) microstrip antenna is proposed for ultra wideband applications. The proposed antenna uses a method to minimize the monopole antenna by using extended ground on the same side of the patch. The ground is extended vertically around the patch. The antenna covers the frequency band from 2.98 to 12.41 GHz with 122% impedance bandwidth which contains a full band of ultra wide band (3.1-10.6 GHz).
