It should provide a platform in developing the holistic personality of a student teacher. This paper reports on personality of student teachers and the role of Teacher Educational institutions in developing it. The sample consists of 1080 student teachers of Madurai revenue district. A Multidimensional Personality Inventory constructed by Manju Rani Agarwall was used to get the data from the student teachers. Percentage analysis, Mean, Standard deviation and 't' tests were used for analyzing the data.
