JEE_V8_N3_RP5 Wind energy conversion system used as an Active filter M. Lavanya K. Swetha Journal on Electrical Engineering 2230 – 7176 8 3 40 47 Doubly Fed Induction Generator(DFIG), Voltage Dips, Wind Speed Variations, Wind Energy Conversion System(WECS) This paper deals with the performance of a wind energy conversion system operating as a power generator and Active filter simultaneously. As a power generator, the wind energy conversion system converts wind energy into electrical energy; as an active filter, it sinks the harmonic currents injected by Non linear load connected at the same feeder. This study is intended to two types of disturbances: voltage dips and wind speed variations. Simulation results are carried out by Matlab/simulink software.
