Nurses face numerous challenges surrounding ethical dilemmas every day and these contrast among vital life and death decisions that have to be taken in a matter of seconds. In this paper to follow, I will discuss a reflective account of an ethical dilemma encountered while on a clinical placement. The dilemma is identified and analysed from a professional and ethical perspective. Also, best solution and recommendations are presented which are grounded on ethical principles and which are also informed by the professional code of conduct.
