JME_V3_N2_RP5 Experimental Investigation Of Control Factors Of Wedm For AL-6063 Deepak Matta Jonny Garg Neeraj Sharma Journal on Mechanical Engineering 2249 - 0744 3 2 33 38 Al 6063, WEDM, Pulse on Time, Pulse Off Time, Peak Current, Wire Tension, Water Pressure, Servo Voltage IWire Electric Discharge Machining (WEDM) is a specialized machining process capable of accurately machining parts with varying hardness, complex shapes, which have sharp edges that are difficult to machine using mainstream machining processes. This process is used to make intricate shapes with the help of a wire. Aluminum alloy 6063 is used as a work piece and performance analysis is done to find out the significant control factors for aluminum alloy 6063 by using one factor approach at a time. In this paper effect of various parameters like pulse on time, pulse off time, servo voltage, peak current, water pressure, wire tension, wire feed on cutting rate has been investigated while machining on aluminum alloy 6063 using one variable at a time approach. Experiments show the response for different parameters on WEDM. February - April 2013 Copyright © 2013 i-manager publications.
