JES_V5_N3_RP5 Compact Dual-Band Bandpass Filter Using Hook-Type Resonator Alok Kumar Gupta Rajan Mishra Journal on Embedded Systems 2278-7895 5 3 21 24 Split Type Resonator, Dual Band BPF, Insertion Losses, Coupling Matrix This paper presents a dual-band bandpass filter designed of λ/4 split type resonator. A hook-type coupled line structure is used to create a stop band in a wide single bandpass filter. This structure provides external coupling and creates two bands at different frequencies. To justify the idea, the result of dual bandpass filter with two center frequencies at 2.4 GHz and 3.5 GHz are shown. This filter has specific applications with Wi-Max communication. There are two reflection zeros in each pass band and three Transmission zeros out of band for better out of band rejecton. August - October 2016 Copyright © 2016 i-manager publications.
