Abstract

We introduce technique for solving Pentagonal fuzzy transportation problem (PFTP) applying ranking technique for the representative value of the pentagonal fuzzy number. We are applying allocation table method (ATM) to find an initial basic feasible solution (IBFS) for the PFTP. . An algorithm for a new proposed method and an extended MODI method is developed to find optimal solutions of the problem. This technique is also best optimal solution in the literature and illustrated with numerical examples.
