Abstract

Web based application development using .NET and Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS) is shown in this research paper. QGIS is a free widespread open source software to process geographical data, and Web-based GIS applications are online services over the internet that provide maps to the users and help them to search and browse Spatial Information like locating different places and routes. Web based Tourism GIS is developed using a mix of programming, and database technologies. Tourism has become a popular global source of income, both nationally, and internationally. Tourism Web GIS application provides basic information using GIS for facilitating, planning and increasing the tourism.

Keywords
